Farm News - Greenhouse

As promised, here is a photo of the antique china I purchased for the farm. It's from England, by Johnson Brothers in Fruit Harvest pattern. I love the brown trim around the edges. Each piece of the setting has a different fruit, a pear, pineapple, apple, peach, etc.

Here is the hoop house - greenhouse that came with the farm. The tree will need to be cut away and look at the size of the weeds outside!

Holy Crap! Can you believe the mess we found inside the hoop house? What happened in there?! How long does it take to make a mess like this. I have never seen anything quite like it before. But, what can you do? You roll up your sleeves and tackle cleaning up the mess inside. After about six loads of debris hauled to the burn pile and another several loads of metal that will be hauled to the dump later we were finally finished. We were filthy, sweaty and probably smelled bad, but very happy with the results of our hard work. Ah, order in the universe again.

We won't be doing anything with the greenhouse until next year. So, we have until then to figure out what type of system we can install to handle temperature and moisture management.

This fine little buddy came to visit us while we were at the farm. He was an ancient Beagle and we called him Leonard. He was such a sweet dog. Angus and Molly, my terriers loved him and they played all afternoon until Leonard had to take a nap.>
