About Me

Gathering leaves, bark, roots, pods, and flowers while walking is where inspiration is found.  Depending on what is available during the year will determine the color of the dye and the type of prints for the silk.   The green hues of Spring, the yellow hues of Summer and the Sunset hues of Fall mark the seasons as time passes.  Each season brings a new delight to the natural dyer.

Each dyed garment will take at least a week up to a month to process and complete.  It's called slow cloth for that reason.  But, the natural hues of plant dyes are amazing and so worth the effort.

I hope you enjoy seeing my work and experiencing the colors of the Midwest.

You can see more of my work on my facebook page, on instagram and pinterest.  I invite you to follow along with me.
