Liberty Belle Show

The Summer days are winding down, the kids are back in school, the leaves are just beginning to flutter in the breeze.  There's a gentle rain this morning, my favorite kind - the soaking kind that my flowers in the garden thrive in.  A perfect start to the day.

I found this tiny green handcrafted chair in a junk shop and became smitten with it immediately.  It's the perfect shade of green and shows a nice bit of wear from years of being played with in a dollhouse.  There's a matching couch, too.  So sweet.

I am preparing for the upcoming Liberty Belle show this weekend in the West Bottoms.  It's my first appearance at the show and I have been busy new items for the show.  My challenge is creating affordable, interesting and fun jewelry for the event that is predominantly a show for the Arts District crowd.  The American Royal is also in full swing this month so I am adding some vintage western buckles, belts, hats, boots, jackets and cowgirl punk jewelry.  I am loving this part of the preparation as I have been wearing this type of stuff for years.  It speaks to the farmgirl part of my soul.

I'll try to share some pics with you this week so you can see what I have been up to over the past few weeks.  I'll also try to add some things to my etsy shop for you as well.

Today is the last day for setup - the show starts tomorrow!  Come on down if you are in the area.  It's going to be alot of fun...

What a cute little chair!

I normally show my jewelry at First Fridays at a gallery in the Crossroads District not far from where you will be. However this month I can't make it...but wouldn't it be fun to meet up?

Last year at this time the crowds were thin because of the American Royal. I hope it is not the same this year.

Good luck at the show--and enjoy!
