Joie De Vivre Silver Spoon Bracelet

Joie De Vivre Bracelet - Purchase Here

Joy of Life is a reoccurring theme in my life, as I am a visual person by nature and I get so excited about the simplest of things.  Sometimes I am so overwhelmed by the beauty that surrounds me that my breath gets caught in my throat.  I am speechless.  Does this happen to you?  It happens when I see a beautiful sunset, or sunrise, when I see the vastness of the starry sky on a cold Winter's night, the smell of a newborn's head, the velvety feel of a rose petal on your fingertip, holding my niece or nephews hand...

My family brings me joy, the sound of laughter during our family get togethers, my Dad cooking in the kitchen, my Mom quietly reading a book, the sound of "Lawsy" when it comes from my Grandmother's lips, the bottomlessness of my son's dark eyes, the pride I feel when my teenage son opens the door for an elderly couple at a restaurant, cooking with Erin in the kitchen, the warmth of my husband's hand in mine.

The warmth of Angus and Molly lying at my side and the sight of their antics and wagging tails that welcome me home at the end of the day.

The creak bindings make when you open an old book, the texture of the pages, the musty smell and the typeface of words within -  I am addicted to books.

I love looking at crystals, gemstones, fossils, shells, grains of sand, arrowheads, twigs, branches, leaves and feathers.

I love my friend, Stacey's photography...there's something sublime in her botanical shots that soothe my soul.  I never tire of gazing at them.

Looking up - always up - the miracle of the heavens awaits  you there.  My faith brings me joy.

The magic of creativity in design and fashion bring me so many hours of happiness.  I find the older I get, the more simple things appeal to me.

My hands sinking into warm soil, the magical smell of loamy soil... I love planting a garden in early Spring.  Watching your seedlings grow, nurturing them all Summer and then harvesting the fruits and vegetables....those home grown tomatoes...well.... as a gardener - it is the  Joie de Vivre.

What's your Joie de Vivre?

Such a joy to read you lovely post today. In some ways it makes me want to cry...Yesterday while at work I was talking to this woman that always seems down, she has a lot of stress and in a hard situation..and so I told her, just be open to the beauty all around you...and she answered, what for..its just a bird..a tree..a sunrise...and well I realized at that moment, that some of us are fortunate to see what we see,and others forget to open their hearts, living their lives in a cloud, unable to see the grace before us.Closed to the idea that it is in that beauty that we find true peace and love and appreciation and happiness.Thank you.Warmest Regards,Cat

Love the spoon creation! Very lovely. And you photos are wonderful. The Joy of My Life is my daughter. Her smile, her laughter is what gets me up every morning.

Thanks for sharing! I was out early one morning a couple of weeks ago, taking photos of the morning sky. My neigbour saw me and asked what was so special, that I was taking pictures of. Made me realize that you do have to really see what is around us, to appreciate it. Not everyone does.

I love your words about Joie de Vivre! It might sound strange, but everything you wrote could have been written by me! :-)

What touches me mostly are beautiful sunsets, the ocean, classical music and every form of art, flowers, sea shells, my little Mollie sleeping totally relaxed on my lap, the love in my son's deep brown eyes, the shining sun on a clear blue sky... all of this makes me lose my breath and often brings a tear or two of happiness.

I love your friend Stacey's flower pictures, they remind me of how many miracles there are in this world. Every flower, as well as sea shell, is a miracle in itself... who created this beautiful world?

Thank you for reminding me of all the small and beautiful things in life, and also for reminding me of the importance to keep faith. After this life, something even more beautiful is waiting for us. Sometimes I also wonder, who are you, my dearest Julie? You touches my heart so much with your words and beautiful art, yet there´s an ocean between us... but not in our hearts :-).

Many hugs to you
Beatrice
