"This is my wish for you:
Comfort on difficult days,
Smiles when sadness intrudes,
Rainbows to follow the clouds,
Laughter to kiss your lips,
Sunsets to warm your heart,
Hugs when spirits sag,
Beauty for your eyes to see,
Friendships to brighten your being,
Confidence for when you doubt,
Courage to know yourself,
Patience to accept the truth,
Love to complete your life."
An instant heirloom for their families and future generations to enjoy. It will be so nice for future anniversary celebrations - especially their 25th & 50th celebrations.
The Black Walnut wood was harvested from my father's farm in Missouri and I planed the raw cut lumber, and then put a buttery finish on the wood. Black Walnut is extremely hard and a lovely wood with lots of dark grains running through it, making it perfect for furniture.
I love the character of wood and adore it when it has lots of knots, and grooves via Mother Nature. I added the Labradorite stone in the front cover that looks so nice with the dark tones of the Black Walnut wood. Labradorite flashes blues, greens, golds and grays in the sunlight.
Knowing that one of your creations has gone to a happy couple is so rewarding - it's heartwarming when you know that your creation will be enjoyed and loved for years to come. It's good karma, don't you think? It's why I do what I do and it makes me happy.
I added a hammered and stamped copper plate to the front to personalize the journal for the happy couple. Congratulations on your first anniversary together - enjoy documenting your life together as the years go by and they will - much too quickly.
Other journals are available - HERE - custom orders are always welcome.

really spectacular Julie- you are a wonderful artist!
Thank you for posting about us and for all the well wishes!!! We had a great anniversary together and Craig loved the journal! We came up with so many memories, we almost had to go to the next page! I think I will add a photo from each aniversary on the back side of each page as well. And, I want to print out your poem from the beginning of your post and affix it to the back of the cover! Thanks again for all your help!!!
