Super Cool Safety Pin Jacket

Fun jacket designed by Kathleen Conahan is so super cool and fun to make. What a clever girl! Thanks Kathleen for creating this fantastic look for the rest of us to try.

Let's get started....

1. Draw or trace image onto the back of the jacket. I used dress makers chalk.
2. A dress form is very helpful but not necessary.
3. Begin adding the outside lines first and then fill in using different size safety pins for interest.
4. Once you have the safety pins in place you will need to stitch them in the direction you wish them to hang. Use metallic thread if possible so they are nearly invisible.

Use your imagination and try hearts, skulls, etc.
