I love paper flowers - especially Rebecca's version. Rebecca joined us last week and her first project after watering, sweeping, and dusting, (the daily routine at any garden shoppe) she tackled paper flowers with so much enthusiasm that we not only had roses, but carnations, sweet peas, peonys, delphiniums, and get this....bells of Ireland!
I couldn't wait to drape a paper flower stole over a piece of statuary. Isn't she devine?
The paper flower corsages are underway for the Mother's Day Weekend Celebration - A Garden Party! Loads of annuals, perennials, herbs, antiques, primitives, garden art, containers planted with lots of whimsy and personality, hanging baskets, and on and on......
The search is on for live music, definitely acoustical, and preferrably Irish in theme. My GG Grandmother's family, the Karhle's were from Ireland. So, maybe I am just genetically predisposed to love Celtic music. Genetics or not, I really think that Celtic music and gardening go together like Tomatoes and Basil. With less than four weeks before the event we are pressing our luck finding an available musician for Mother's Day. If the fairies are with us we might even find a female artist. Now that would be perfection. Just like Rebecca's Paper Flowers.>
